Translated term of Montessori

Italian pronunciation of Montessori is similar to (mon - te - SOH - ri).

Since the first year of the Republic of China when Montessori education was introduced to China, different translated terms have appeared. However, this teaching method is only limited to intermittent text introduction, China has not had any teaching institution adopting its complete teaching system and teaching aids. After 1930s, the American literature introduces this teaching method use the translated term "Montessori".

At present, most of common people in Taiwan use the name "Montessori" (meng-te-suo-li), but the traditional translated term "Montessori" (meng-tai-suo-li) is still used in library field and mainland regions.
